The Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE) is thrilled to present an intimate and very special night with humanitarian, global physician, writer, and (as head of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières) Nobel-Prize winner Dr. James Orbinski.
As part of the first installment of OSEA’s Long-Term Energy Plan Webinar Series we look at what went right and what went wrong during the last round of FIT? Have we learned anything? How could the FIT review and contract process be improved? What do First Nations, communities, municipalities, developers and financers need to have confidence in future procurement processes?
Now is your time to weigh in! Help guide Ontario’s decision makers in redesigning the system. Colin Anderson, CEO of the Ontario Power Authority, has been invited to provide context and participate in the discussion panel alongside key players from the sustainable energy sector.

The public is invited to help launch one of the province’s newest renewable energy co-operatives, Sustainability Ontario Community Energy Co-op (SOCEC) at the inaugural Lakeshore Ride for Renewables. SOCEC will host a guided bike tour of existing renewable energy installations and potential community power projects in neighbourhoods along Toronto's western waterfront. The ride is the co-operative's first official event and will provide an opportunity for residents to discover the possibilities of green energy in Ontario and to join the co-operative as a “founding 50” member.
