OSEA Community Power Roadmap to Success workshop series
We are pleased to announce that OSEA has partnered with several NFP organizations to deliver 15 community power workshops across the province. OSEA was awarded an education grant from the Community Energy Partnerships Program (CEPP) to deliver these 3 hour interactive and experiential workshops which are free to attend and require no previous experience or knowledge regarding solar power or renewable green energy to participate! Our goal is to engage established community-based organizations (e.g. environmental clubs, ethnocultural associations, student unions etc) and institutional groups with assets (e.g. municipalities, hospitals, and schools) and to build up their capacity to collaborate on their own community power projects. Ultimately, our interest is to build confidence in Ontario community-based groups to embark upon the launching of a project from start to finish. The workshops are spread across the province with the first one taking place in London on Tuesday September 13th. Following that Kitchener-Waterloo takes place on Thursday September 15th and we will be in Sault Ste Marie on Friday September 23rd. If you are interested to attend one of these workshops, or need more information please contact Steve Ireson via Steve@Ontario-SEA.org.
