Community Power Conference 2011 is next week!

Online registration closes this Friday evening at 5pm

Join the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association for its third annual conference to hear about and discuss the FIT review, Green Energy Ontario 2.0, and practical training on how to drive community-led and community-commercial project partnerships.

While attending the conference be sure to tour our Power Networking Centre trade show, held in partnership with the Association of Power Producers of Ontario.

After online registration closes on Friday, tickets can still be purchased on site during the conference at the registration desk in front of Hall G at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building (222 Bremner Blvd.), Level 800. Green Connection tickets can be purchased there as well or at the door of the Steam Whistle Brewery (255 Bremner Blvd.) in the evening on Monday, November 14. Please note that we can only accept cash payments at the door. Exact change will be appreciated. We look forward to seeing you at the events.

Ontario Minister of Energy, Hon. Chris Bentley will speak at The Green Connection

Join the industry's sustainable energy champions and Ontario's top chefs at the Steam Whistle Brewery on Monday November 14th after the first day of the Community Power Conference as we throw the sector's best and most exclusive social event.

Rub shoulders with other entrepreneurs, sustainability advocates and personalities in the green space and build your knowledge and network whilst enjoying mouth watering hors d'oeuvres from celeb chefs and unlimited tastings of an intriguing variety of exclusively Ontario libations.

There will be live entertainment and a raffle with some amazing prizes and spectacular décor using some of the finest kites from Toronto’s largest kite festival, WindFest.

OSEA Community Power Roadmap to Success workshop series

The workshop series is now 2/3 of the way complete, and what a great success. The workshops have been well attended, and plenty of ideas and potential community power projects identified. If you are interested in starting a community owned, community controlled, solar project in your neighbourhood, think about attending one of the final free sessions.

  • Niagara (Wednesday November 16th) with Climate Action Niagara
  • Barrie (Friday November 25th) with the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce
