We are renewable energy project consultants focussing on building megawatt scale wind and solar farms for commercial, institutional investors and large emitters.

We are active throughout Canada and our team has experience with power generation projects across the country, including projects in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. We build and operate energy generation facilities on behalf of clients and we have operational experience with wind turbines in 3 projects in Nova Scotia.  One of these projects is undergoing permitting for a major expansion up to 100 MW.

Solar energy has become a major focus of interest, particularly in Ontario and because of the Standard Offer Contract. We are actively involved in planning and implementing ground-breaking scale solar farms in this province.

Other areas of interest include methods of storing wind or solar energy for the sake of making energy sold to the grid operators more predictable. Scheduling renewable energy generation is a priority for utilities seeking to maintain the quality of the power supplied to their customers.  We are engaging as innovators in this sector.

We are also active in the field of wind turbine R&D, having initiated a project for a new design of concrete wind turbine towers. This innovative concept may achieve a market niche for Canadian wind developers with a worldwide market potential.

The wind turbine that Graham Findlay wants to put in his Island Park-area backyard has been described as “comparable to a flagpole” in terms of noise and appearance. So why all the fuss?

It’s fair to ask about safety, noise and esthetics, but even in the case of backyard turbines, it’s hard to believe that these are insurmountable obstacles.
