The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) is excited to announce its four new Directors after its Annual General Meeting, held this past Saturday February 25th. The four new Directors join a pragmatic board of future focused leaders committed to the transition to a more sustainable energy system in Ontario. In this future, dubbed Green Energy Ontario 3.0, we will have lower energy bills, cleaner air and water and a more reliable, distributed and resilient energy system that creates good jobs, prosperous communities and healthy businesses. It is a more democratic energy system where individuals, communities, the private sector and public sector are all conservers and generators of renewable energy.
OSEA's four new Directors bring with them diverse perspectives, multi-disciplinary skills and broad networks that will help shape this vision into reality. Our new directors are:
Derek Satnik (Managing Director @ Mindscape Innovations)
Derek is a respected business leader in Kitchener-Waterloo, past Vice-President of OSEA, a key contributor to national and provincial green building and energy policy and a long time supporter of Community Power. An Electrical Engineer by trade, he is engaged in both conservation and renewable energy.
Jutta Splettstoesser (Farmer and Community Power project owner @ Splettstoesser Farms Inc.)
A full-time farmer in Canada since 1993, she is a practical person raising her four children who range from ages 8-15, as well as her crops in Kincardine Township. She is co-founder of the Friends of Wind, a strong advocate for "Citizen Power" and the proud owner of a FIT and micro-FIT solar project.
John Kourtoff (CEO @ Trillium Power Wind Corporation)
