Renewable Energy: Exploring Options for Farmers, Rural Land Owners and Rural Communities

On November 7, 2007, The Ontario Rural Council (TORC), in partnership with the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association, the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario will be hosting this day long Forum at the Rotary Complex in Stratford.

The Forum will feature sessions on the opportunities and challenges facing renewable energy development today, ownership models for generating your own electricity, market options for selling that power, and the different technologies available.

This will be a great opportunity to meet and hear from people in Ontario who are currently developing community renewable energy projects of their own. The Minister of Energy for Ontario has been invited to be the keynote speaker over lunch.
