Attention Associate Members!
OSEA is now calling for nominations from the Associate Membership for two ex Officio seats on OSEA's Board of Directors
At present there are two ex Officio seats reserved for representatives of Associate Members on the OSEA
Board of Directors. Under the current OSEA By-laws, as amended at the last Annual general Meeting
held in November, 2007, these two seats include full voting rights at the Board level and are reserved exclusively for representatives of the
Associate Membership. Under the
current OSEA By-laws, only Voting Members have the right to vote at OSEA's Annual General Meeting. However, the two Associate Member seats do include full voting privileges at the Board Level.
To ensure that the interests of Associate Members are fully reflected in OSEA's governance and management, it is
very important for the Associate Membership to have these two representatives serving on the Board of Directors.
If your business wishes to nominate a representative to sit on the OSEA Board of Directors your
nominations are now being accepted up to the closing deadline for nominations of May 30, 2008.
Each
Associate Member is invited to submit the name of one nominee along with a brief bio describing the
nominee’s background. This information will then be compiled and presented back to the Associate
Business Membership in an election run-off process leading to the determination of the two winning
Board Members.
Please submit your nominations, along with the associated bios, via e-mail to wkd@helixsynergy.com (Winton Dahlström, Member and Director on the OSEA Board) by May 30, 2008. It is important for Associate Members’ voice to be heard as
OSEA continues to advocate and build capacity in Ontario’s Community Power sector. This is your
chance to make that voice heard.
