This group aims to act as a catalyst and promoter of community economic development and increased self-reliance.
Some of the objectives for M'Chigeeng, Ontario include: becoming a leader in sustainable development
in the renewable energy sector and establishing a new self-generation community wind turbine development
initiative to generate additional income for M'Chigeeng First Nation.
By promoting community ownership, the M'Chigeeng Employment and Community Development Committee's mission
"recognizes and will provide opportunities for the band membership of M'Chigeeng to develop, enhance and succeed
in economic growth while promoting the continued social and spiritual development of M'Chigeeng.
