Prowind and Terravis Energy have merged to form Prowind Canada, a small, agriculturally minded wind power developer. Working with communities in mind, and a constant consideration for providing opportunities for local economic development, Luke Geleynse and his team are being spoken of very favourably by community groups in Ontario.
Prowind Canada is currently heading up an 80 MW wind project in New Brunswick, and is working with a partnership of 9 potato farmers interested in a new source of clean energy revenue, coming as a result of the strong dollar and much of the processing industry leaving the region. Having roots in the agricultural industry, and with a history of developing farmer-friendly wind projects, Prowind Canada has helped the local farmers become more economically diversified and sustainable.
