Kristopher is in the final stages of his Masters in Environmental Studies focused on Systems, Planning and Energy at York University and is completing requirements to become a Registered Professional Planner.

Roberto has more than 5 years of experience in planning, management, consulting, communications/marketing and finance in the public, private and international development sectors. Roberto holds a bachelor degree in Commerce from Concordia University, with a specialization in Management information Systems and eCommerce and is currently pursuing a Master in Environmental Studies degree focused on community-based energy at York University.

Rebecca Black is a marketing and communications specialist who works with clients pursuing sustainable business solutions. Ms. Black has worked in renewable power development for both corporate and community power organizations, with an emphasis on the Environmental Assessment process, Project Management and Community Consultation. She possesses a Masters Degree in Business and Sustainability from York University in Toronto, where her thesis involved "Marketing Investment in Community Power".

Brian Iler, Director
Brian Iler is a lawyer and partner in the six-lawyer law firm Iler Campbell LLP in Toronto. As a commercial lawyer, he has advised and encouraged many of Ontario’s co-operatives over the past 33 years, and acted as counsel to Ontario Co-operative Association and its predecessor since 1985. In that capacity, Brian has been centrally involved in negotiating the steady stream of improvements to the Co-operative Corporations Act and the offering statement regime. He also has extensive experience through his work on other boards, including the Toronto Renewable Energy Co-operative (founding director), the Community Power Fund (founding director), and Greenpeace Canada.

 

Dale Dolan, Director
Dale Dolan is the chair and president of the board of directors of Windy Hills Caledon Renewable Energy.  He is a member of the OPA’s Transmission Constraints and Generation Options Working Group, the Town of Caledon Wind Committee and of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).   He has BASc. and MASc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, and an Honours BSc. in Zoology and Environmental Science and a BEd from the University of Western Ontario.   His research interests include wind power generation, electromagnetics and power electronic applications for distributed generation. He is committed to making renewable energy a strong component of the world’s supply mix and to this end is currently involved in developing a Standard Offer Program Wind Power project in the local community.

 

 

Doug Fyfe , Director
A program and project manager of 29 years experience : as a road engineer for 5 years, Information Systems for 19 years with Life & Pensions companies in Europe and Canada, and over 3 years professionally in the wind industry. A strong interest in environmental initiatives for many years, now in an active role in the sustainable energy industry, and helping to get Canada into the top league of renewable energy generators in the world.

Fourth term as a director of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association; Chair of the Milverton & District Medical Committee (7 years); Chair of Knollcrest Lodge long term care facility, Milverton (director for 6 years); Secretary of Milverton Lions Club (9 years). Arrived in Canada in 1997 with wife, Shannan. Canadian citizens since April 2003, and living in the rural village of Milverton in Perth County, mid-west Ontario. Doug is General Manager of Countryside Energy Co-op.

 

 

Winton Dahlstrom, Director
Winton is the President and CEO of Helix Synergy. He worked as a manufacturing engineering project leader, capital project manager and engineering manager for a number of different Ontario manufacturers for some 25+ years.  Winton holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Ryerson Polytechnic and has studied at Michigan State University, University of Toronto and taken technical training at Loughborough University in Loughborough, U.K., in commercial wind power development.  Winton now operates three wind power development companies in Ontario and Michigan where he is actively involved with regional and local zoning policy development for commercial wind power along with its associated electrical transmission.  Winton is a member of CanWEA, the OFA, PURE of Dufferin County, and TREC WindShare.

 

 

Doug Prest , Director

 

Derek Satnik, Director
Derek Satnik is a member of the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC)'s"LEED for Homes" committee, a director at Community Renewable Energy Waterloo (CREW) and at Local Initiative for Future Energy (LIFE), a member of the Net-Zero Energy Housing Coalition (NZEHC), and a member of Conestoga College's Program Advisory Committee supporting the development of a renewable energy trades program. Derek is an Electrical Engineer by trade, and has worked in the consulting industry in various roles since 1999, most notably with Stantec Consulting Ltd., Enermodal Engineering Ltd., and now Mindscape Innovations. Derek’s personal experience ranges from design of power/ lighting / communications / controls systems for the ICI sectors to more general aspects of sustainable design and energy efficiency as a Sustainability Engineer and LEED Consultant. Derek currently supervises Mindscape's work in the renewable energy and housing industries.

 

 

Frank Nightingale , Director
Frank holds engineering and advanced business degrees from the University of Waterloo, Laval University and the University of Western Ontario.  His career comprises 30 plus years of worldwide experience in assessing, planning and implementing a diversified range of economic and enterprise development programs and projects in energy, electric power, infrastructure and agriculture across Canada and in some 40 countries. He is currently a member and working as an advisor to the local group Farmers for Economic Opportunity in the development of a number of community based power and energy projects in Haldimand-Norfolk including wind, solar, small hydro, biomass and biofuels.  Frank is a Federal Green Partu camdodate. President of the Norfolk Federation of Agriculture and a director of the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association.

Jeannine Van Kessel, Director
Jeannine lives on a farm in Lambton county with her husband Mike and their 3 children. The family farm includes cash crops, hogs and a grain elevator. She is a part of BlueWater AgriWind - a co-op of area farmers. They are interested in building wind turbines on their land.
