Positive Power is a non-profit co-operative dedicated to promoting and generating clean, sustainable energy
through community-based renewable energy projects and education. Positive Power works within the communities of
Hamilton, Halton and Haldimand to implement green wind energy projects that are locally based and supported through
the direct financial involvement and support of the local community.
The HHH suffers from some of the worst air quality
in Ontario, and the local support of green energy projects like our planned utility grade wind energy
project allows Positive Power to provide positive economic and environmental benefits to the communities
that host and support our work.
projects:
Lake Erie Project: A planned wind farm project on the North shore of Lake Erie, ON. The initial project will include
3 wind turbine, and the site has the capacity for 9 in total.
Education and Advocacy: Positive Power Co-op is committed to educating the communities of Hamilton, Halton and Haldimand about the benefits of
renewable energy, specifically wind energy and the co-operative model of wind development. They are also actively
involved in advocating at the municipal and provincial level for policies and programs that will empower and
assist community-based renewable energy generation.
