Sustainable Energy Resource Group Co-operative (SERG)

SERG, an incorporated non-profit wind development coop, supported by the Municipality of Schreiber www.schreiber.ca, are working towards a 3-5 MW wind project on the north shores of Lake Superior. Through a network of regional members, interested municipalities and partners, we hope to not only achieve a sustainable resource of green energy for Northwestern Ontario, but also be the seed organization for community groups across the North interested in sustaining their energy needs.
Geared towards the merits of energy conservation and the use of renewable energy technology, SERG also has visions of leading our Northern communities through green community projects, also encouraging primary and secondary educators to get involved with a strategic grassroots approach. Our children are the future and will be the ones who will follow through with duly needed change in our consumption of electrons. Our mission was confirmed after attending an OSEA workshop and stands behind their goals of achieving community-owned green energy generators across Ontario!
