Mission Statement: “to promote sustainable living through education, conservation and the development of community based renewable energy”
S.H.A.R.E. is a local organization devoted to conserving non-renewable energy and replacing it with energy from renewable sources such as wind, solar, ground source etc. S.H.A.R.E. is in the process of becoming a registered incorporated non-profit organization and has formed an executive and membership structure. Members will have first or preferred access to currently planned programs and S.H.A.R.E. resources. Proposed projects include basic assessments of home energy use, developing a library of alternative energy resources, a speaker's series, presenting an alternative energy fair, sourcing and bulk buying of alternative energy technologies and eventual development of a community owned commercial size wind turbine.
